Joe Biden on Real Time with Bill Maher

I like many on this website got off the Joe Biden bandwagon a long time ago after his vote on the bankurptacy bill.  However, the Senator's performance on Bill Maher has sent Biden back to the top on my potential candidates.  See extended entry for why.....

There are a number of characteristics I feel the public will be looking for in the next President.  I am not going to say Republican or Democrat but the public in general.  

1. Clarity:  Biden was able to susinctly formulate his argument while attacking the weakness of the status qou.  His argument was effective because it demonstrated what the problem of the current policies are and what their long-term effects will be.

2. Gravitas: When answering questions the Senator was able to communicate the seriousness of the situation through body language and verbal language.  While not on Clinton's level Biden's language and delivery showed the varying level's of seriousness.  

3. Moderation:  Biden did not fly off the handle on any issue.  While Biden clearly emoted the anger many are feeling, his verbal delivery was tempered and easy to digest.
